Two Bright Stars ! I admire you:
Phosphoros, appearing at dawn,
waking up a happy sun for our mornings;
Hesperos, awakening a thousand stars,
In the twilight sky, illuminating our evenings.
In both forms, you reveal yourselves:
Morning Venus, bright and dazzling,
Bathing the day with your intense luminosity;
Evening Venus, blazing and soothing,
Flooding the night with your sweet light.
Whether you appear east or west,
Adorable Venus, in your two radiant faces,
grace, charm, and beauty, I delight.
