Hypatia
In ancient Alexandria,
resided an enlightened soul,
a noble and divine woman,
she was the beautiful Hypatia.
In the halls of the Academy,
she taught with passion,
to knowledge-thirsty disciples,
she offered enlightenment.
Noble was her pure spirit,
her words, a gentle whisper,
she defended the truth,
against the shadow of darkness.
But alas! Jealous of her knowledge,
fanatics came to destroy her,
they shattered this precious jewel,
Hypatia succumbed to their furious blows.
