Gather your remains,
in your forgotten bag

add your dust to its dust,
take it with the remaining strength,
in your right hand,

which istired of
the nurses' bandages
and the succession of years on your body,
that befriended the ailments
and allowed them to colonize without resistance.
Sink into God's vast land,
where God is everywhere.
Scatter your sorrows
on the threshold of the lonely nights
and gather what is left of your dreams,
in the navel of
your heart.
Walk in the paths of absence,
where souls meet,
and where silence is your universal language.

Forget them as if you were not
and they were not, forget
the house
under whose roofthey

shared thecandy of gossip
and whose stones shared their betrayal;
it is weaker than a spider's house.
Walk alone without a companion
other than God and your shadow.
Walk where there is no trace of them
and no trace of you among them.
Let the gossip dissolve
in the crowd of words.
Ignore their names, time,
andplace
and look up at the stars in the sky,
perhaps they will give you a compass,
God's land is wide.

في حقيبتك المنسية،
أضف غبارك إلى غبارها،
خذها بما بقي من قوة
في يمناك المتعبة
بضمادات الممرضين،
وتعاقب السنين على جسدك
الذي صادق العلل
وأباح لها الاستيطان بلا مقاومة.
غب في أرض الله الواسعة،
حيث الله في كل مكان.
بعثر أحزانك
على أعتاب الليالي الموحشة،
واجمع ما تبقى من أحلامك
في سُرّة على كاهل قلبك.
سر في دروب الغياب،
حيث الأرواح تتلاقى،
وحيث الصمت لغتك الكونية.

انسهم كما لو لم تكن
ولم يكونوا،
انسَ البيت الذي تقاسموا
حلوى النميمة تحت سقفه،
وشاركتهم حجارته الخيانة؛
فهو أوهن من بيت عنكبوت.
سر وحدك بلا رفيق
غير الله وظلك.
سر حيث لا أثر لهم،
ولا أثر لك بينهم.
دع النميمة تذوب
في زحمة الكلام.
تجاهل أسماءهم، زمانهم، ومكانهم،
وروض النجوم في السماء،
لعلها تهديك بوصلة للطريق.
فأرض الله واسعة.
